¡Que Viva el Mariachi! Everybody knows that South Texas is home to the best mariachi ensembles in the country!
Looking for a festival that overflows with positivity, is uplifting, and competitively rewarding to help grow your mariachi program? Then it’s time for your high school, middle school, and elementary mariachis to take center stage at The ARTS' Festival de Mariachi for a day of exciting competition.
Your groups performance will be adjudicated by accomplished experts in mariachi education with decades of professional performance experience from throughout Mexico and the United States. Numerous awards will be presented in each classification & category for high school & junior high.
Vocal Competition entries are due April 5. Semi-finalists announced April 7. Send a video via YouTube link to [email protected]. Include the name of the student, the name of school, and if the student is high school or junior high.
Don't forget to bring your showmanship and school pride. Our famous "Glorioso Award" goes out to one Grito Campeón and Campeona of the day!
The festival ends with a special finale performance by the 2025 Directors Mariachi, followed by the awards ceremony.

Grand Champion Trophy – awarded to one high school and junior high
Division I Trophy – awarded in each classification for competition and ratings only ensembles
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Trophies – awarded in each classification/category for competition ensembles
All-Star Mariachi Awards – awarded to students with exemplary performance skills
Outstanding Section/Caption Awards – high school/junior high
Outstanding Musician of the Day Awards – high school/junior high
Glorioso Award – One female and male student of the day

Ratings Only Ensembles – receive only rating and comments, no ranking
Comments Only – adjudicator comments only, no ratings or ranking

Recording:
Our recordings include:
Professional digital audio recording with left and right mono ambience large-diaphragm condenser microphones.
Audio digitalization produced by state-of-the-art interface with mic inputs, each with crystal clear high headroom preamp at sampling rates up to 96 khz, remarkably low noise.
Compatible digital audio workstation (DAW) software managed by a focused portable computer.
The result is a clean, pure, quality sound!
Finale/Awards Ceremony:
Featured guest perfomance by the Directors Mariachi prior to announcement of awards.
